ANNOUNCEMENTS
HONOR BAND MAKES STATE...AGAIN!!!
Our very own Honor Band in conjunction with the Legend Orchestra placed 1st in the TMEA Symphony Orchestra category. This is an EPIC achievement as only 1 middle school group in the state is selected each year. The Symphony Orchestra will perform at the TMEA annual conference in February.
Last year the Honor Band placed 5th in the TMEA CC Honor Band competition. This is how Legends are made!!
ORIENTATION INFORMATION
Incoming 6th graders - our Orientation Meeting is set for April 3rd at LMS. HERE is the slideshow containing all the info you need to know.
Instrument rentals and supplies - contact a local music store HERE to order instrument/supplies online.
Flute, clarinet, saxophone, trumpet, and trombone are rented through a local music store. Ordering early will help you avoid long lines and secure the best instrument possible.
Do not hesitate to contact a director HERE with any questions you may have or if you did not receive the orientation email.

Mr. Holzer sends out a weekly email with all critical (and non-critical) band info! If you are not receiving his email it means FISD does not have your correct contact info. Please get it touch with Lawler's front office to check your info.
ALL-REGION RESULTS
Congratulations to the following students who earned placement into an All-Region Band. These students are All-Stars and truly the BEST of the BEST!! We are incredibly proud of ALL the students who auditioned. Everyone improved a great deal through this process.

CHAPERONE/CLINICIAN BACKGROUND CHECK
All visitors to the Lawler Band must complete an FISD background check. This process could take several days so please plan accordingly.
